Capital believes that most of our customers would like to use servers that are based in their own country rather than abroad. Iit’s also true that there is a performance increase for websites that are hosted in their own geographical area. So we have chosen to use two datacentres in the United Kingdom to have our hosted servers.

For Your Security

Our datacentres are secured by state of the art CCTV systems which are monitored around the clock. The sites also have a strict access policy and procedures along with industry standard two-factor authentication cards to limit the movement around the facilities. Physical keys to racks are also strictly controlled with all access logged and with an audit trail.

It goes without saying that all of the perimeter of the facilities are fitted with access control and intruder alarms and the facility is manned 24/7 by security personnel.

Power Protection

Uniquely in Scotland, the data offers N+N Power Protection. The facility has dual independent 11kV feeds, backed up by a set of Chloride triple 500kVA modular parallel 90-NET UPS systems (A total of six 500kVA individual UPS are required for the three parallel systems described) and Cummins 1.6 Megawatt, 1.4 Megawatt and 0.8 Megawatt diesel generator sets. All infrastructure is maintained via strict Planned Maintenance systems and procedures on a regular basis. All so that our services can expect to have very little interruption with our 99.9% uptime guarantee.
